Hi All,

Maybe it's just me not getting how it's suppose to work. But anyone else think it's strange that the MFE's only have the One Output and all the rest are Inputs for power? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Anyone else have this or is it just something with my pack? Tried a search on MFE but nothing poped up.

Cheers

Yes, it is designed that way, all of the IC2 energy storage (batbox, MFE and MFSU) have only one output.
It makes it possible to put multiple side by side, but all outputting into the same circuit, or in line (outputting in the next one), depending on what you want to build).

I believe that the "problem" came with you having the transformers (LV, MV and HV), that have one side for the higher tier, and 5 for the lower.
Doesn't mean that the 5 are always the output though, but the confusion might come from them having a similar design.

Makes sense to me, multiple power systems can input into one storage block without having to share cables and possibly overload them.
It can be a bit annoying though if you are trying a compact design and want different output slots. Maybe in later development of IC2 the boxes will have config options like in Thermal Expansion, so you can choose which sides to input/output from from a gui, instead of a single side and turning with a wrench.

You can always use transformers to get more outputs, as they are the opposite to storage devices (ie. 5 outputs and 1 input).

This is only try in non-redstoned mode (transforming down). Transforming upwards has 5 inputs and 1 output. Or in short: 5 with lower voltage, one with higher voltage.

Cheers for the responses. Rather new to it all. If the sarcasm was @me it was not intended. My Server was getting the dreaded Can't keep Up! Info. Figured out my problem, I was looping power back on itself. I now have a clear run with LV transformers every four copper cables and two MFE's powering my entire base so far.

Thanks again.

PS: Can see the benifits of multiple Inputs and only One Output now.
