I'm fairly new to this whole "forum" thing and would appreciate a bit of... patience on this matter.

Fairly recently one of my favorite servers made the transition from the 1.5.2 direwolf20 modpack to the 1.6.4 direwolf20 modpack, some time earlier today (12/21/13).

As evidenced in the last [SEVERE] error in the log, I cannot get enough memory dedicated to FTB (over 1 gigabyte), apparently because I use a 32 bit OS (windows XP) and cannot upgrade to a 64 bit any time soon. As a side note, I have indeed already installed Java 7.
Is there any way to get around this issue and dedicate more memory to the modpack? I'd appreciate the requested patience and an answer in a timely manner, as I've indicated earlier, I'm new to using forums* to address problems like this.

Unfortunately to allocate more than 1GB of memory you will need 64bit java and you can't install 64bit java without a 64bit os.

If you are from the UK you can get a copy of windows 7 for less than £50 from Ebay.

well since you have windows xp I guess upgrading you OS to a 64 bit OS is not an option (might be wrong about it though). So best advice I can think of is to disable all/most of the client only mods. some of these are nei mapwriter and inv tweaks. I heard there is a bug with mapwriter mod that it uses too much RAM so try to disable that first.
