As you can see in the attached screenshot, my barrels on the bottom all have storage buses attached to them.

Some items, wheat, barley, etc get automatically put into their prospective barrels. Some like the apples, and the row of barrels above that is set for potatoes, carrots, and berries, don't automatically put them in there.

The buses are attached to the bottom, just like the bottom barrels, and the priority level is set to "2" (which is what I assume it needs to be) and nothing happens. What can be my issue here and how do I get them to go into the barrels first, and a storage drive second? Why does it work for some and not for all?

This is my food pantry room of sorts, so it's important for my build that I can get it to all pull here automatically.

You may need to prime the pump, so to speak. Take some potatoes, carrots, and berries, and put them in their respective barrels.

The reason I ask that is AE prefers stored inventory vs. empty inventories, no matter the priority. The reason is so AE doesn't scatter stuff around willy-nilly, but tries to stack, i.e. keep same with same. However, if there are 2 or more inventories with the same item, AE will always send to the higher priority inventory if it has space.

When you placed the AE Storage Buses on the bottom row, did they already have at least 1 of their intended food item ?

AE supports FZ barrels in a special way so that with storage busses you can input and output using the bus from just the one side. It makes things much easier.

I didn't have "1" of each item in their barrels at the time of this posting. But I did just add 1 to each barrel, and they still aren't pulling into the barrels. The ones on the bottom row did have an item in their barrels, but that doesn't appear to matter now.

Any idea what could be causing it?

As you can see below, I have a carrot in the barrel, and the storage bus's interface. I also have the priority set to 2, and after 20 minutes, it still hasn't removed the remainder of my carrots yet.

ME storage busses do not move items from within your ME system to the new inventory. Your AE system will only put new items there (assuming it is the highest priority - it might be worth checking the priority on the disks). You can export all existing items that you need into the barrels and then you should be fine.

Really ? Cause when I did the other items, it had pulled the items off the disks, and no all of a sudden it isn't working.

I am 99% sure it works the way I described. You're safest just exporting everything you have into the barrels either manually or with automation and then your storage busses should work fine.
