Picture, if you will, the IC Workbench.
Each side of an IC chip will be a wire connector(analog or simple) or a bundled cable connector. (Edge of blue print)
A bundled cable IO is required for each wire you want to connect to a bundled cable on the outside of the IC chip.
A right click on Each bundled cable IO connector will bring up the config GUI. Set each to input or output as needed for your chip. Also set each channel color to the color of wire you want to use, in the bundled cable connected on the outside of the chip.
There are no instructions or docs to tell me this. I had to figure it out for myself. It seems like new features like this at least, should have had some kind of documentation.

In the process of complaining about inadequate documentation, it never occurred to me these guys might have been too busy to write any docs for Project Red.
On the other hand, one could argue documentation should go hand in hand with development, before release of any code.
In reality, it is like mowing the lawn or any other chores. You put it off, until you have to do it. I offer my understanding to the Authors of Project Red, but I still say some kind of instructions on how to use the mod would have been better than blank pages.
