Make ore more uncommon?

I found with use of turtles, or quarries, ore I too easy to get. Is there a way to reduce the amount ore in the world upon generation?

For example New World Mod Pack had waaaaay too many diamonds.

Try building some stuff before you decide that ore is too common. People often think they have too many resources until they've built a few machines and find out how easily they use up resources.

COFHcore has adjustable ore generation. Mess around with that a bit.
