Open Main screen texture broken (again)

Edit: was also broken in version 1.8.0 which I updated to from version 1.5.3. Upon reinstalling the pack, version 1.7.0 was downloaded

Edit2: after experimenting for a while with different versions I've noticed:

Main screen works -> I try to add the Sphax FTB Beyond texture patch -> fails to apply -> resets to default -> main screen broken
