[MagicFarm] Hammer not gaining XP?

No clue if this is a bug or a misunderstanding. Does the Hammer need something special to gain tool XP? My hammer (copper handle/plates, iron head) hasn't gained a single iota of XP - I punched through a few hundred blocks to make sure it wasn't just really slow.

Does the hammer need something special to gain XP? Does it just take ten thousand blocks? Am currently saving the materials to make another to see if it's just this one. Thanks!

EDIT: Just cheated in the same materials, same issue. Same with an all-copper hammer.

I'm unfamiliar with Magic Farm, but assuming there's not a mod in that pack that alters it T-Con tools don't gain experience, the closest I can think of would be the lapis modifier which I recall hearing talk that you could potentially put a single piece of lapis on and through constant use of the tool it would eventually hit the max possible level that would take 50 blocks of lapis to achieve normally, though I've never actually tried doing that so I can't verify that such a thing works. If Magic Farm has another mod that causes vanilla tools to gain levels through use then it likely doesn't apply to T-Con tools, which emulate vanilla tools to some extent but are not vanilla tools under the hood, hence the reason trying to enchant T-Con tools as you would a normal tool will likely result in the game crashing.

Sorry, yeah. Magic Farm has the submod Iguana's Tweaks for TCon. It heavily changes the tool progression, and the TCon tools gain experience as you use them, unlocking the modifier slots, giving you some free mods, etc. My pick and shovel (both TCon) are gaining experience just fine - actually pretty awesome when I got auto-repair for free on my pick - but my hammer isn't.

Are other tools gaining experience? The forum thread for that addon mentions there's a config option to enable o disable tool leveling, so if it's set to false that would explain it.

Nope, my pick and shovel are gaining experience just fine. JadedCat actually just replied on reddit that it is a bug in this version. :-(
