Magical Crops Help

I'm playing Sky Factory 2.5 and I'm playing around with Magical Crops. So far i have dirt and coal seeds going. I've noticed that I only ever get 1 seed and 1 essence whenever I harvest the crops. How do I get more each time? Second, other than mob farming is there a faster way to get Minicio Essence?

There are minicio seeds and when you harvest a magical crop there is a small chance ti get more seeds, that chance can be increased with Fortune
