Problem Lots of Server Lag?

Hiya guys! I've recentley made a Yogcraft Server so that my friend and I may play on it! I've added Universal Electricity to it as well just to add more exciting things to do in this server, yet I've seem to have lots of lag! I'm running on an Mid 2010 iMac, with a 3.2 GHz Intel Core i3 and 12 GB of RAM! I run both the server and the ftb launcher on the same machine, cause that never seems to be an issue for me, but whenever my friend joins, lag spikes and "Can't keep up! Did the system overload?" all over my terminal like it's no tomorrow! I really hope that you smart people can help me with me dilemma! Thanks!

The instructions will not work for the server, but those parameters should be entered into however you launch the server..

It didn't seem to help... I continue to see the "Can't keep up! Did the system overload?" message appear on my log! Any other suggestions?

This might help you narrow down the problem ...

TickThreading has some excellent profiling options.

1. Make copy of your server
2. Install TickThreading (grab the latest)
3. Do a /profile e 60 and see if there are any culprits
4. /ticks is also great to see if there are certain regions

It could be as simple as a couple routers trying to serve a large number of machines.
