I have lost everything in my base - all my RefStrg patterns, all my RefStrg disk drives, and a lot of stuff that was in other inventories. The machines, devices, buildings, etc., still all seem to be present.

Can I recover the situation from previous saves?

I was playing casually (DW20 LP S9), and halfway through watching his latest episode (with my game running) I went to get a drink. While there, household power to wall sockets went off (not yet identified the cause), so I restarted my PC, restored Chrome tabs, and restarted the game (via Twitch). While I was waiting for the game to load, I carried on watching the DW20 episode. When that finished, i went to my game and noticed odd things happening, the oddness rapidly escalating when I saw the losses in my first paragraph.

It seems to be mainly affecting "things you put into things" like crafter patterns, disks, upgrades, whitelist items, etc. I still have items showing in the crafting grid, but they are all in other inventories, specified as external storage.

In the hope that it might have been a glitch, I quit and saved (to the DW20 menu screen) and restarted from there, but the situation was no better.

I have a sinking feeling that by doing the quit-and-save, I may have closed the door to a recovery, by overwriting last last known good version of my game?

I'd be really grateful for any help, please.

You should have a backup of your world - check the backups folder (on the twitch launcher, right click the pack and select "open folder")

1 - rename old world save to something else (in saves folder - "this is the save folder" to "this is the save folder manual backup" - or whatever you like)
2 - copy the latest backup and try that (if it's a zip-file, unpack it and copy it over to the saves folder)
3 - start the game (if it's still broken, try a older backup)
