I'm looking for a few people to set up a server with, looking to keep it small. I'm not sure what pack to use but right now I'm leaning to the new world pack, as the last server I hosted was an ultimate server. I was up for about 6 months before most of us lost interest. Ive already got a website (http://aiminecraft.com) and 6 gb VPS, I just need to the people to play.

I'd like to join but i'm running a slight problem i don't know whether or not the version of new world modpack i managed to get a manual download of somewhere is the right version because my FTB launcher is acting all stupid and keeps throwing IOException at me when my java is up to date and i've been thru the ftb support 2 times without luck

I don't know much about New World Modpack but it has some of the mods i'm familiar with, yet to play it normally here(severe gamelag here), but the falling meteors, bladecraft and metallurgy might be awesome to play with.

Good to hear at lest a few are interested. The server is located in Dallas TX. I'm working on the server now, it will be based on the New World mod pack but I am adding a few mods. Only ones I can say for sure that will make it is advanced solar panels and chicken chunks. Best ETA I can give for now is the 13th, as the VPS will not be ready until then. But I may have a test server up on the 12th if anyone wants to help test things. The server will be pve with Towny and logblock but I'm not sure what other plugins as I've been out of the bukkit loop for a while now.
Edit: Make sure to post your IGN if your interested. And it looks like Biomes-O-Plenty will be added also. Make sure to suggest any mods you might want added. Not sure on power suits yet as last time we used them it felt like god armor, let me know what you think.

how much will be on the server in total? will we have a teamspeak channel?
i don't have an IGN account :\ but i got skype for contact, but in-game i prefer to use Teamspeak 3, which is slightly less demanding than skype in both RAM and bandwidth.

If there's still room I'd like the opportunity to join as I have been looking for a small relaxed server to settle on for a while plus its always great when its a new map. I have been playing FTB for over a year and have a good handle on most mods, I like to automate as much as possible so tend to focus more on that aspect early game so don't expect to see a nice looking base early on
I'm also a fan of the GregTech mod as it makes the game a bit more challenging, it also gives me something good to complain about

Test server going up soon, will be at 107.3.204.97, a ts3 server will also be up at that ip. Here is the config pack with mods included here. Added advanced solar panels, biomes-o-plenty, chicken chunks, gravisuite and power suits with power suits addon. However it will be on ic2 recipe mode only.
