im setting up a new server, hopefully with as little lag and very little modpacks banned but will need help running it. its going be hosted by creeperhost.com and will need some ideas as to how to run it. hopefully someone will come to my rescue on this, I have seen alot of servers and basically i want to best them in as many ways as possible. nothing that goes against the eula so everything will (hopefully) not be banned so we can set it up(modpacks-chunkloaders) all work only when you are online and not when your offline as to reduce the lag as much as possible. we are gona start off small and see how it works but will need your help to run it. regards aspas69r

Make your server unique. When I play on servers, it's to do something special and different. I don't want to play single player with chat; there's eiraIRC for that. A world border and a beautiful seed/custom map will encourage player interaction, which is what SMP is all about. It'll also reduce some lag which is always good.

I'm not experienced in running a server technically (server scripts, hosting services, anything technical). but I have experience in moderation of chat and depending on the world/modpack im a decent builder... I messaged my skype details too you if your interested.
