Hi! I was wondering if there was a tech/space mod with achievements that I could play as a standalone? I am not currently aware of such a mod, but I would think that it already exists...somewhere.

Hmm Galacticraft 3 has a lot of progression, and adds all the ores and processing and stuff that you need without any other mods; not sure if you need a particular power API, that would be my only caveat. I'm fairly sure it has achievements too? If there is an extra planets mod that's well integrated with that, I think that would give you quite a lot to do purely standalone!
I don't know if it integrates well, but SGCraft might be a nice mod to accompany that - once you've got to a planet, you could build a stargate to allow instant travel - but you have to get there first
