Loading world crashes FTB

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

So, I had to shut down my computer manually while playing Feed the Beast: Infinity Evolved. Ever since then, whenever I try to load the file/world I was playing in, it crashes and I get the error message:
"Error: java.lang.NullPointerException: Exception in the server tick loop
Exit Code -1"
There's also a crash report, which I can paste if required. (It's a bit long.)
I think this means my world is corrupted or dead or whatever, so I looked for the backup files in local, but I didn't have any luck until I saved the crash report. I think I found it (it wasn't in any of the obvious places, it was in AppData\local\.ftba\instances\(some mumbo jumbo)\backups) but it's a zip file, and I don't know what to do with it.
This brings me to my questions: Can I use the file I found to restore my world/server to the last backup point, and if so how do I do it? And if it's not the right file, where can I find it? Or is my world not doomed like I think it is?
Any help is GREATLY appreciated. I've spent about a month on this file/save/world/server and do not want to have to start all over. Thanks in advance!
