Literally can't find any forest bees.

I've tried going over 2k in each direction of my house,and even made a mystcraft age that's nothing but a flat, endless forest. There were meadow bee hives there, not forest bees. >_< Anyone know what's up?

Make a few red power scythe/sickle, whatever they are called and go to town on every leaf you come across.

No but Ive found more then one hive hidden in the leaves of a tree. (or buried in rock ect)

Oh, so they're not on the ground like other hives? Good to know!

They are in the trees. (normally). The best way to hunt for them is at night. If you use Rei's mini map, look around any lit area. I believe the forest hives still emit light. The marsh ones don't, but they do look funky at night time.

Edit: Jungle hives are also way up in the trees.
