So I was bored today and decided to practice some Mystcraft writing, but being me, I didn't just want to plop down a writing bench in the middle of the field, so I decided to build something a bit more suitable for a master of inter-dimensional travel. I started out just wanting to make a little hut, but it soon evolved into a full blown recreation of the library in the first Myst game, with the advantage of having mods like microblocks, and carpentry. I was actually surprised at how well it turned out in the end.

Anyway, here are some screenshots and comparisons (click to see larger versions of my pictures):

The shaders I used to take the pictures above messed with the Open Blocks sky block that I used for the ceiling. So this is what it is supposed to look like:
Let me know what you think, and any constructive criticism or ideas is helpful, as I'll probably be rebuilding this as an actual part of my base later. Thanks! :)

Thank you for the feedback everyone! :)

And yes, it was carpenters blocks I used. It is a mod I was recently introduced to, so I thought I would give it a try. The other materials I used were mahogany and maple planks on the inside, and the outside was a combination of different holystone and marble microblocks.
