Windows .jar Launcher will install, but will not launch game.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and I get the same result every time. The launcher loads and installs the modpack, but when I go to launch it just acts like it is going to start minecraft and then exits and nothing happens.

Could you provide a few details such as your OS, your Java Version and your allocated memory?

And the bit types. Mismatched bit types are often a culprit of crashes!

Do you have any AV's that are blocking it for finishing the launch? Or firewalls?

I have Zonealarm Firewall and avg free antivirus, those are usually my problem with most programs so I already tried with them shutdown.

I think you're outdated.
Currently the latest is Update 9.

Here's what I want you to do.
First; Check if your OS is 32bit or 64bit. The best way for a layman to figure that out is to go into the C:/ drive and see if you have a Program Files (x86) file. This indicates you have 32bit programs installed on a 64bit OS.
Second; Uninstall java as best as you can then go here, download and install the appropriate version depending on the OS and bit type you are using.
Lastly; Do a nice, clean download and install of the Mod Pack that you can get from the big red links in Ash's signature.

If it still doesn't work, at least you're up to date and we can rule that out.

Ah, sorry i didn't see that you had already asked.
But i still think he have based on this line

Going to the options tab and setting it back down to 1GB or just deleting the folder "C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\ftblauncher" should solve the problem.

Updating java did the trick, took forever though cause I can never get it to uninstall or update.....
And I guess I had messed with the memory setting in the FTB launcher, but I did not realize that is what you were asking.
