Launcher/server not compatible due update

I've created a scheme, hopefully that should make clear what the problem is.
FTB Launcher version: 1.1.7 (newest from the site at time of post)
Minecraft Version: For my client 1.2.5 and the server 1.4.2 :(
Java version: Java 7 update 9 (64-bit) (and JDK 7 update 9)
Problem : My server that I play on with some friends is version 1.4.2 of Minecraft with the feed the beast server, but when I update my files in my laucher it gets to version 1.2.5.
 
Do you happen to have FTB Retro Pack selected? If the server is 1.4.2, you should be using the Beta Pack A.
