Keyboard freezing on me

Hey guys, Just wondering have any of you have/had this problem?
Every time you start up your world it freezes your keyboard for a few minutes and your good to go for that session until you quit out of MC, the mouse still works though.
I have the 2013 MacBook Pro if that matters haha.
It doesn't annoy me or anything, i was curious if there was a fix to it.
