Java perpetually tries to load a modpack

Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

I tried to open ftb academy several times, got to the launcher hit start, waited for java to load, open task manager, end it, restarted the laptop a few times today trying to get the modpack to work. As I'm writing this java has been trying to load the modpack for almost 30 minutes. No load screen or anything it just lurks in the background threataning to do it's job. Please give any suggestions
