Issue Using the new Forestry Circuit Boards

I'm trying to use the soldering iron to solder electron tubes to circuit boards in the same way as I used to when upgrading electrical engines and its just not working. when i place the tubes into the gui and then the circuit board, the tubes just disappear. I lost all of my legit tubes and had to hop into creative and i've been trying several combinations of tubes and boards. I can not find an output at all.

I'm using the current mindcrack ftb pack. i'm very frustrated lol, any assistance would be awesome

The gui is a bit messed up when using a higer res texture pack. the output slot ends up appearing (Graphically speaking) down into your inventory area.
Also. always put in the circuit board last.
For farms you need 4 tubes. one for each cardinal direction. North is at the top, then it is south in slot 2 west in slot 3 and finally east in slot 4.
you need the advanced circuit board in order to get all 4 into the board.

i know about placing the board, and my issue isn't about the farms, its about the electrical engines. I hope i'm even using the proper board now

The electrical engine upgrades are done the same way. there are 4 tiers of boards. each one add the capability of using one more slot. sorted in order of expense. if you use a board that is a lower tier than what you have put in tubes for, then it will only take the first slots up to the boards cap.

You might be using a bugged version of Forestry too, there was an issue in early 2.x versions where circuit boards weren't properly accepting tubes. What's your version?

I had the problem with it eating the tubes that it couldn't use but it would always give me the correct board. It must not effect everyone.
