Hello everyone,

i started with the New World pack, some mods removed, such as the Meteor thing. After 60 min of mining I found more than one stack diamonds, but nearly no tin ore! Is this a bug or intended?

Thank you

Probably intended. Tin spawns higher up in a very specific Y range, from what I can recall. Copper spawns a bit below that, and most of the diamonds you've been getting are probably at the 3-7 Y levels.

If you mine higher up, you might find some tin.

First: Thank you
Second: I forgot to mention that I found diamond above the usual levels (1-16) up to at least 30!
So my "problem" isn't the tin, but the diamonds xD.

I believe there was a mod that changed ore generation and made all the ores spawn at all levels. BetterOres or something like that?

That's the only thing I can think of that might cause that.

If you are running version 6.4 of the NW mod pack, then everything is as intended. If you run an earlier version, then consider it a glitch ;)

It is the 'Metallurgy 3' mod which not only makes diamonds spawn practically everywhere, but also (previously) made them come in huge patches of up to 14+ pieces. The mod is still WIP, but the mod pack maker has balanced it out somewhat for the newest version of the pack. A higher ore occurrence than in Vanilla is intended, though.

ps:
Since you only just started, you might want to reconsider embarking on NW for serious long-time play, since the mod pack will not be updated, nor bugs fixed, for almost half a year (the mod maker has gone on a military leave).
