I started in beekeeping and I collected hives from nearby. As I went out and explored, I found Wintery bees and thought I should breed them. The problem is I made my base in a beach biome and the temperature makes it a hostile environment for the bees. Is there a way I can shift the temperature in the immediate area, such as adding snow blocks? I know I could make a alveary, but right now that isn't an option as early on as I am.

Well, I was about to say Alveary, but it looks like that was addressed. Without ExtraBees machines or Alvearies, there's nothing I know of that can help you other than moving to a different biome, but I could be wrong.

You could breed them with the rocky bees in hope to gain the nice traits they have, but that's kind of random, especially if you expect to go back to the species being pure wintry afterward.

If you can't afford Extra bees tier 3 machines, an acclimator, or alviary, your best bet is still to get a small place in a cold biome for your bee.

You can increase the temp tolreramce with acclimatiser (XBee machine). Feed it with something hot and you can change your bee temp tolerance up to : up_5. the thing is a pretty early stuff so there's shouldn't be any problem having it (well ofc you need XBee installed)
