Is there a problem with MFR's Planter?

I'm trying to make a Cocoa Bean farm with Jungle Tree blocks stacked 6 high and the planter will only plant the beans only on the first stack.

Could you try and post a screenshot of what exactly you are trying to do?

Here you go:

Ahh, I believe the planter only plants on the blocks directly above the planter. I think you will need to stack multiple planters. But I haven't really used them much, and not with cocoa at all.

Multiple Planters/Harvesters did the trick. Ugly as hell, but who cares...it works. 6 of each stacked one on top of the other.

If you want to go for looks, the Forestry Multifarm might be a bit better and it will handle quite high stacks of cocoa.

Tried that once and found that not only did it raw a lot of power, but it also used a tremendous amount of water that 6 infinite water supplies couldn't keep up with the demand.

Hmm I think that might have been an early version. The present unleashed one uses very little power(only draws power when it actually harvest/plants. Have 4 maximum sized farms and on average they dont draw more than 3-5 MJ/t I believe. In comparison the MFR machines are usually complete power hogs.
And when it comes to water, I have easily supplied a max size farm with a single aqueous accumulator.

... Then I think you ran into a bug or had some derpiness in the configs or something. One full sized multifarm should not draw nearly that much water and can be powered with a hobbyist's steam engine (~2mj/t)
