Is there a command to get rid of entities?

Well, is there? Because i've just returned to my base to find the chest that collects my quarry stuff had overflowed, so there's a bunch of items sat on the floor that lag the game so much I can't go over there to get rid of them. Is there a command/other way to get rid of them?

There's an option in NEI to remove entities I beleive?

I "think" Jay Cee is correct. You can disable item drops in NEI.

Err is it Delete mode? magnet mode might also be helpful for picking it all up.
