Hi I currently use the LAN feature/mod to play with friends / family with 0 problems it works great for what it is intended. I was just wondering though is it possible to host a LAN game and somehow make it possible that my friend that lives far away able to join the game without having to set up a actual server?
Is it possible to make a far away join my Lan Game?

Hamachi is not LAN, it is a VPN service. LAN means Local Area Network, in other terms, it means people who are connected to the same Internet/modem as you. This is typically just people in your house so your answer is no.
If you do wish to play with your friend there are plenty of options. You can look up port forwarding, but make sure you find a reliable tutorial on it as doing this can go very wrong and expose your Internet and computer up to anyone in the world.
If all of that is too complicated, your main option is to just use an existing server, if you want it to be relatively quiet, look for very recent servers as they won't have many people.
