When I attempt login from the launcher I get an error message "Invalid username or password."

When I attempt login from the launcher I get an error message "Invalid username or password."
- My account was migrated in fall 2013. I am logging in using my e-mail. (some folks said the problem was resolved after migrating, I already have)
- I am able to successfully login to minecraft.net and my vanilla minecraft install.
- I turned off "remember my password" and have entered it manually (some users reported this helped, unfortunately, not for me)
- I have also tried logging in using my old pre-migration handle, no luck.
- I have tried many attempts at login (some users reported that repeated attempts eventually proved successful, no such luck for me)
- I have had this problem consistently for the last twelve hours with no success (some users reported after a couple hours the problem went away, again, I'm not so fortunate)
- I have followed all steps on the basic troubleshooting guide and tried on two separate computers, no luck.
- I was able to log in successfully as recently as yesterday evening.
