Hi, so yea.. I found out a sure fire way to get rid of google chrome's extensions that's seemed to be "hardwired" to my system. In this case it's was the PriceChop extensions, as it wasn't even labeled that as I think they "code names" their extensions so you are barred from finding the real names. But.. as I looked at it, they just mixed up the letters and I could find that out. So what I did was the following and without any success what so ever..
1. Uninstalling it by their "uninstalling instructions" as it was the usual control panel>programs thing.
2. Stripped Chrome's of the "extensions" folder from the HDD and rebooted it.
3. Deleted Chrome and reinstalled it from Internet Explorer
and still no avail so.. I checked the "developer mode" and.. and I found the ID and.. FILE PATH to them! All I had to do the whole time to remove the folders that were simply labeled as "1.0" and bam down the recycling bin and dumped as they go!
Haha phishing advertisers you lose! So yea if your having any problems simply "deleting" any of chrome's extensions.. Check that developer's mode at the top right and enter the file path below the IDs of them into your "start" search box and that file will shows up. Once you put them in the recycle bin, just empty them and they should be gone for GOOD.
