Hey guys, I seem to be having a problem setting up my first FTB server. The whole process is more complicated through Multicraft, and I was hoping someone could help. Here's what I've done:
  • Installed Forge
  • Added all downloaded SkyFactory2.5server files to the forge directory
  • Replaced Forge jar with FTB jar and libraries
  • The server worked this way with a few weird console messages I'm sure weren't supposed to be there...
Next:
Technical Info:
  • Running Linux CentOS 6 latest build, 32 GB ram, Intel Xeon E3-1270V5
  • Using a Multicraft setup (comfort thing, but makes FTB a bit confusing)
  • Sky Factory 2.5, Forge, Thermos 1.7.10 1614
  • 0 extra mods, only what came in the zip files.
So basically, the server was starting up with lots of warnings before adding Thermos, but now with Thermos the server doesn't even startup all the way. Just a straight-up crash. I'm at my wits end here. I'm probably missing something obvious but I'm in need of some support. :(

As a follow up question, what do the trailing numbers (1614, 1448, 1558, 1492, etc.) mean in the jar names? Thank you for your time.

I don't remember seeing that error before but I'd try reinstalling the server. You don't need to install forge, it's included in the server download. Once you unzip the server files, copy the thermos files to the server and run it.

If you mean the numbers after the Thermos jar name, it tell the Forge version it was built for.

Okay, it's still not working. Going to try the latest 1492 instead of 1614. Not sure what impact that will have, but whatever. Could my Java version be a problem? Java 8 I believe, there's no way I can downgrade to Java 7 just for this as my dedi is using quite a few plugins built on 8.

The weird thing is that Thermos starts up fine by itself, and so does Sky Factory 2.5 (aside from the version annotation errors). But when I put them together they won't work.

I just tried it on my desktop and got the same error. The log mentioned Mobius Core so I disabled it and it seems that it worked. I think Waila and possibly one or two other mods need Mobius Core to work so I don't know what disabling it causes.

It worked! Thank you man, I saw something about MobiusCore too but wasn't sure what it was for. When I join, I'd like to get rid of these messages so they don't pop up for the player:

Know any reliable way of fixing that?
