Problem Infinity Evolved Massive data usage

Hi me and couple of friends are playing on an Infinity evolved 1.7.10 ver 2.60 which I run on off Windows 2012r2 server. And the problem is I am getting huge data usage. Like today 600 Mb in 4 hours is this normal? I have a mob farm and a plant farm near my base could that part of it. If so that seems huge and how do I fix it because I play over a mobile connection and I don't remember using this much data before when I was on a regular hardwire connection. Edit been playing for 7 hours and up to 1.2 gig of data my downstream is 40 KB/s. and my up is 370 B/s
