Infinity client crash when opening inventory

Details of the issue:
Started an Infinity server and i have been adding some mods to it. Been running pretty stable, but it has had a couple crashes. I decided to check out mekanism as i have seen a few people talking about it. So i grabbed the 3 jar downloads for it and loaded it up in single player. I spawned in creative and when i opened my inventory and started tabbing over to find the mekanism tab. Thats when the client crashed. Now this didnt happen when i spawned in survival. Not sure what the deal is though. Also when the server crashes sometimes i get a crash report, other times i get a hs_err-pid with some numbers. Whats the difference between these 2?​
 
Turns out its has nothing to do with mekanism. My friend who is playing on the server told me his son was having the same issue when he was getting on and he doesnt have mekanism. I could also duplicate it on the server. Soon as you try scrolling through the tabs for the different mods the game crashes.
 
it is a known issue caused by headcrumps
You can remove it but this will remove everything from the mod
or update it but then every client needs to do it.
