Inet disconnects

FTB Launcher version (if this isn't the newest update update and try again): the newest one idk what version it is.
Minecraft Version: newest one i think its 1.4.7 or 1.4.6
Java version: updated it to the newest one its version 7 update 11
Detailed description of the issue / how can the issue be recreated: I just downloaded the FTB launcher and created a profile, I clicked the direwolf20 modpack ( doesn't matter what modpack the issue still occurs ), when I click the ''launch'' button it downloads like 200kb and then it disconnects my internet ( ofcourse resulting into the download stopping ) and my internet wont reconnect untill i restart my pc.
Error logs: none.

btw. I have windows xp and on my moms laptop its win 7 and on her laptop the game actually works.. could it be that ftb isn't win xp compatible?

my virus scan is off, ill de-activate my firewall and try it agian.
