What is the bug? When hovering mouse over a number of machines from IC2 - it says "pickaxe" as acceptable tool to pick up the machine, in many cases this is not correct and the machine is reduced to its basic component instead of beeing picked up.

Is it repeatable? yes

Known Fix Either IC2 has source tool for pickup registered as the wrong type

or

JEI is hooking into the wrong tool and using

"harvestable with pickaxe"

instead of

"pickup with tool"

Thanks for your report.

The "tooltip" you're referring to is The One Probe mod by McJty. It's similar to a more well known mod Waila, adding a HUD element showing you what your player is looking at. The mod is showing a pickaxe because in IC2's code the machine is set for it to be mined by a pickaxe and has a stone mining level. Unfortunately this is just how IC2 and has always been.
