Rather than creating RF directly, you can instead create EU directly. Its a bit of a pain in the butt, but you can use the reactor in active-cooled mode (with a turbine) and send the steam into a bunch of Railcraft steam turbines. Each turbine will (iirc) consume 320 mb of steam and generate 200 eu of power.
Here's the butt-hurt:
1) You can't create a proper closed loop. You'll need TONS of water input (best done from extra utilities liquid transfer nodes)
2) The rotors in RC turbines don't last forever. This project will consume lots of steel.
3) A typical Big Reactor produces (way) more than 320 mb of steam. You'll likely need many of these turbines. But at least they'll look cool.
