I'm running a small private server. How do I use the Private Pack option in FTB?

I'd really like to be able to use the launcher to help my players sync up their modlists with the server. I'm guessing this is what the private pack option is for, but how does one create one?

Edit: If this isn't possible for some reason or another, is there an easy way to sync my latest updated versions with my players? This has become a real issue, as many of my players are not very tech savvy, and telling them "x and y have updated, please update your clients accordingly" results in extreme amounts of frustration for them.

Unfortunately, the mod permissions for FTB specifically don't extend to private packs. As such, you'd have to hunt down all requisite permissions (not just additions).

Also, it's a WIP. Although the feature is implemented in the launcher, there isn't a way to create one currently, I believe.

As for modpacks, you may wish to check out the modpack feature of MultiMC. It doesn't do syncing unfortunately.
