Open IE won't transfer power to IC2

Summary of the problem IE won't transfer power to IC2

Pack Version 1.5.3

What is the bug? What I can't seem to do is get power from connecting an IE cable to the metal bender. I don't know if I'm still able to do it that or not.

connect an ie cable from any source and then connect it to the metal bender

That was a change by IE's mod author. You can't use IE to transfer power to IC2 machines. So not a bug.
