Heya,

I just started up a server yesterday and it keeps crashing because the console is getting spammed. I was told it's the enet bug and that I need to upgrade IC2 to the latest dev build that fixes it.

Problem is I can't seem to find the dev builds anywhere...anyone happen to have a link? Only thing I can find is the download on the Industrial-craft.com website...and that version seems to be older than the version that FTB uses as default (don't get that...what? lol).

Thanks!

The packs just updated and the newer IC2 is included, try updating.

You picked a bad time to start a server. XD

lol, yeah. I ran a server about 9 months ago and getting back into it again...I'm gathering that I picked a wrong time :D. On a plus note, I haven't done much so starting over with the new version is fine with me :D

Thanks.[DOUBLEPOST=1361233504][/DOUBLEPOST]also, is there somewhere that lists what the current version of the mindcrack server jar is? is the one you are talkinga bout 8.1.0, or is there a newer one? (I can one click install 8.1 with Creeperhost, want to make sure if that's the newer one or not because I don't remember if I installed 8.1.0 or 8.0.1 a few days ago, lol)

Mindcrack 8.1.0 is the latest version that went up tonight. FTB updates roughly every three weeks so expect to update regularly, keep daily world backups, etc.

For some reason lots of people seem to get silly errors when updating the packs but I'm not sure why. 90% of the time it's something silly the user's done on the server. The block and item IDs aren't changing so really the worlds should transfer cleanly to the latest update, and this is true in your case as well.

ok, hopefully the last question...I don't know if I just suck at searching tonight, or if things are just hard to find...but I can't find any directions on how to upgrade from one version to the next.

It's been a long time since I've done this, and I've never actually used a mod pack. How do I go about upgrading (figure it's a good thing to know if I'm gonna have to do it every few weeks).

(a link to something already existing would be fine as well, I just can't seem to find it).

The new versions have now been flagged as the recommended release, so all you really need to do is login. For the server, just download the newly recommended version again. :)

That easy?, just downloading the new jar and that'll update all the plugins and everything? Awesome :D So used to updating mods one by one and stuff...just seems too simple.

I'm guessing when certain mods are updated within the pack there is a chance for world corruption, stuff like that? (gonna be backing up of course, just curious).

And thanks for all the help so far, really appreciate it!

There's a low chance of corruption if something was badly configured somewhere or something obscure was missed in testing, otherwise you're fine.

If you always backup your world, the chance of actual loss is trivial. :)

There isn't an option to disable debug output, unfortunately. It's only really relevant to developers anyway unless the game happens to crash.
