I crash in the mojang screen (direwolf20)

MY game just closes about half way through loading.

I think it has something to do with my RAM. I have 64bit java and 3gb of ram on ftb.

I pulled this out of my chrash log thinking this is the problem:
JVM Flags: 4 total; -Xms256M -Xmx3072M -XXermSize=256m -Xmx512M
If so how do i find my JVM Flags?

Try using the jvm parameters from here. They go into the JVM additional parameters box in the advanced options of the launcher.

when i did that it says Error: Could not create java virtual machine Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit

You did replace them with the ones from here.

Follow these steps because the total memory listed for java, from your log, is only 488mb.

1. go to the control panel
2. click on system and security
3. click on system
3. click on advanced system settings
4. click on environment variables

If there is an entry listed for java remove it. I would take note of the information just incase you need to add it in again. That particular entry may have been added by either java or a program, which may have been minecraft, that required java.
