I can't get autocrafting to work, what do I wrong?

I have a refined storage setup, a crafter and patterns for it ... and programmed said patterns ... and everything is linked with cables. (if not touching)

My test pattern is a redstone torch. I have everything to make them ... and it is one in cue ... but nothing happens.

do I need a crafting station in front of each crafter and an import cable pulling the result out?

I have seen a video where that wasn't the case ... but it might be that one (a hidden one) had that ...



P.S.: Game was several times restarted.
 
Did you use a pattern grid or a processing pattern encoder? And what version is this in?/I believe making patterns was changed so that they're in the same grid, but there's now a button that switches it between the two
 
If you shift clicked the recipe in it might have been an ore dictionary issue. Depending on what mods you have there can be dozens of "sticks" besides the vanilla stick.
This got me a few times when I get into to much of a rush and didn't notice.
