Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I've looked all over the internet and this is literally the only place I can think of to post this.

Recently, a friend decided to buy and host a minecraft FTB server. We're using the Direwolf20 pack (1.7, because we haven't updated yet because the server host is currently balls deep in Fallout 4 and can't be bothered to do anything else). I started playing around with the dimension stuff from the RFTools pack, and after a lot of tinkering finally made the dimension I wanted. Problem is, after all the tweaks, I had a lot of extra dimensions of the same name cluttering up my dialer menu. I could have just left them there and everything would have been dandy, but being the idiot that I am, I decided to look for a way to clean them up a bit. Found a reddit post that said I could use the /rftdim safedel <ID> command to delete old ones, so I used it. Worked like a charm.

Later decided that I was tired of having the randomly generated void hanging out under my dimension, so I started tinkering again. That's when I noticed that several IDs just aren't picked up by my dialer anymore, and they're all the ones I deleted with that slash command. Anytime a dimension is created with one of those IDs, it just isn't there. Needless to say, this is incredibly frustrating.

Problem is, I have zero idea how to fix this. I've tried using the recovery slash commands, they just give me redtext errors saying the dimension IDs don't need to be recovered or are already in use or some shit. Internet says I need to delete my dimension folders for the ones I deleted, but I LITERALLY DO NOT HAVE THEM ANYWHERE ON THIS PC. Like, at all.

So how do I fix this? Does the server admin need to do it? Does the source he's renting the server from need to do something? Do we need to send a support ticket? Am I just retarded and overlooking folders that I actually do have? How do I unbork my dimensions?

The /rfdim safedel command doesn't actually remove the dimension files from your hard disk- it only unregisters the dimensions from the game, so you can go back and delete the actual files later without breaking anything.

Do you have access to the server files, perhaps through SSH? If so, look in the world folder, and you should see several folders named DIM-1, DIM-2, etc. Just delete the folders whose numbers correspond to dimension IDs that you've /rfdim safedel'd, and you should be good to go.

If you don't have access to the server files, you'll have to get your admin to do that. The requisite folders won't exist on your client, except in singleplayer worlds.

Server admin tried to find them, found a bunch of dimensions and deleted them, reset the server. I logged back in, nothing had changed. Dimension files he deleted came back, so they were probably the wrong ones. I guess he's just going to have to have the server restored to before I used the slash commands.

Make sure you delete rftools dimension with the /rftdim safedel command and then remove the folder. Don't forget that command!
Also note that when you have a dimension tab in a builder for such a dimension it will be recreated as soon as that dimension builder is loaded again.

Side note, did you run the command? Or did your server admin run it? If you are not OPed, you running the /rftdim safedel will probably do nothing
