I assume this is in Tinker's Construct? There's a bowstring pattern that you can make in the stencil table. Here's a link. http://ftbwiki.org/Blank_Pattern
You then use the part builder and some string (not sure how much) + the pattern and you get a bowstring.

Material cost is 3 so 3 string will get you a normal bowstring and 3 enchanted fabric will get you an enchanted bowstring
