I'm going to put together a server so I can use it to store data and back up anything important just in case my computer explodes or something and I wanted to put a minecraft server on it.
This is the specs of the server IF I can get what I'm looking for in-stores tomorrow.
CPU: AMD FX 8130
Motherboard: As long as it supports the CPU
RAM: 16GB DDR3
500W PSU
Internet: Unfortunately I am on Cable so that means I do experience traffic hour but if everything is normal I should be getting 20-40 MB Download and always a constant 4MB Upload unless there are problems.
How much can this handle? as in how many players can be online at the same time before lag starts to occur?
Also just a side note, do you guys have any suggestions on what I can put on the server? Is it good or is it bad?
