How do you remove all items from a crafting grid all at once?

I've seen it done in a few "let's plays" where they remove all the items in a crafting grid all at once into their inventory.

Haven't tested, but possible space-click? Like, hold the spacebar down and click the mouse on one of the items in the grid?
