How do you power your forcefield?

I power my forcefield using a nuclear reactor. I had some friends over the other day and they wanted to know how I power my forcefield. I told them that I use a nuclear reactor. I have now realized some people cannot use nuclear reactors, for they do not have the resources. What creative means of powering your reactor can you share?
