I have been trying to power a quarry using my high voltage solar arrays but I cannot get it to work.

A quarry cannot be run directly off of Industrial craft's energy units (EU). It runs off of buildcraft's MinecraftJouls (MJ). you can produce MJ from EU with an electric/tin engine which initially produces very little power but can be upgraded with a circuit board and various electron tubes.

Or you can set up a all MJ power system using a variety of engines (look at the bottom of the linked page for the full set)

Or Or you can build some Redstone flux power systems. RF can be converted to MJ by using a conduit (all of this is from Thermal expansion)

Quarries accept a maximum of 48 MJ/t last time I checked. so for option 1 you would need 24 basic or 3 fully upgraded electrical engines.

Thanks but I was wondering how I could directly run the quarry off of solar energy like I used to be able to with the power converters mod. I have heard that universal electricity could be used but I do not know how.

Like Mekanisms universal cable? As far as I know you just plop one down between your solar panel and your quarry.

Is there universal cables in Monster?

Universal cables are from Mekanism and I don't see that in the pack list so I'm guessing no. You can probably add it yourself but I have no idea where you would download it, haven't found a download link on the mincraftforum thread or the website listed(unless that's my firefox acting up again). Heck it doesn't even list the dependencies.
