Help with FTB in 32 bit java system

Hello, I understand this may be common problem.

I have a 32 bit system and 32 bit java, and it only allows me 1.5 gb of ram at a time allowed for 32 bit system.

I understand from a freind that the bare minimum for running the game is 3 gb of ram and that can only be allowed if I have 62 bit java system. I am wondering if there is a solution to this problem to where it will allow me more than 1.5 gb of ram so I can play the game.

Sorry, I think I meant I understand the need for ram to play FTB is 3 gbs in-game, I have 4gb on my computer but only allowed up to 1.5. 1.5 gb of ram in-game doesnt seem to work, I constantly lag, have a low frame rate and crash often and the game freezes in general. I have all video settings to lowest.
 
Most likely RAM isn't the problem its just your computer cant run it, If you give me your computer specs I can tell you if you are having a problem or if you just don't have good enough of a computer.
 
32-bit Java prevents you from using more RAM than that. It's hardcoded that way. The only 1.6.4 pack designed to work on 32-bit systems is FTB Lite 2.

If you want to the other 1.6.4 packs, you will have to invest in a better computer, be that by either upgrading your OS to a 64-bit one so you can use 64-bit Java (and potentially more RAM to suit, as these packs generally need 2-3 GB of RAM to run, leaving you with little headroom for the OS), or a new computer altogether.
