Help with Applied Energistics?

I need help with a ME interface.
For example, i want to smelt ALL of my aluminum ore. So i throw it in the ME interface, first of all, it dupes it. Then it wont eject it into the furnace below. How?

to smelt it just use a ME export bus on top and a import bus on the side

The interface provides something for other systems (like pipes, tubes, conveyor belts) to connect to. That's why you should use an export bus to output from your system to a machine and an import bus to import the end result back to the system.

Edit: it hasn't duped it, when you clicked your aluminium on the left hand side of the interface you were configuring it (and a ghost was put there, so you kept the aluminium). The stuff that appeared on the right is from your system ready for another system to pull it out.

Figured it out, I use the export +import with my IC2 machines for auto smelt and macerate. And i use a interface+import for my crafting recipes, like refined iron and glass on TE machines.
