Summary of the problem Ground trap from Pam's Harvestcraft isn't working

What is the bug? If you put down a ground trap from Pam's Harvestcraft, put bait in it, nothing happens. (There's at least 5 blocks of grass surrounding it.) It's fixed in 1.9.4-1.10.2h. It's discussed in the comments here: http://harvestcraftmod.wikia.com/wiki/Ground_Trap

Is it repeatable? Yes. Seems to be an issue with it in conjunction with other mods. Alone, it works normally.
Known Fix: add a recipe for rabbit bait that doesn't use rabbit meat as a stopgap?
