I'm appreciating gregtech alittle more (just have to get knee deep in resources and traverse like 10 times the map I usually have), but one thing I've never been able to figure out. Everyone on the internet says a BC iron gate can be used in place of a IC circuit in a recipe, but I have never been able to get that to work. I am using straight mindcrack single player. Does that work anymore or am I doing something wrong?

It still works but for selective recipes. NEI is your friend in this case.

He removed that feature right around the 1.5.x update. He says its because the buildcraft assembly table creates too much lag and doesnt want to encourage people to use it... Very annoying. But he is getting a little better about things. I wonder if he is starting to actually lighten up. At first glance gregtech seems like he just made things harder. Once you get into the mod and disable some of the stupid things he changes you will find there are some fun toys. Assembly tables are pretty cool :) Wiremill too. Creating circuts without redstone and half the copper cable is nice. So even though he took out the bc chipsets you can create citcuts not with less resources.
