Good day to you, ladies and gentlemen,

I am SKYHEX, 20, and I am pleased to join the FTB community on this particular forum. I look forward to meaningful discussions, antics and possibly shenanigans.

Now, I would like to join a FTB server (preferably direwolf version). but the selection provided unfortunately is not up to my taste. I would like to see hard difficulty, mostly PvE oriented (I get enough PvP playing FPS games) and trusting and mature community that has no need for banning items or sensible creation of Mystcraft Ages because they don't approve random people that end up being a sack of phalluses (phalli?). I have no problems first integrating myself into such community should you have such a requirement, as well as using more personal communication methods such as TS3 or Mumble.

I can't guarantee that the entire community will be mature and grief-free, but I'm sure there are servers with honest people (somewhere?).

Hmm, I was not quite sure about the ammount of eloquence you allow here, therefore I chose a rather euphemistic approach. But oh well, bag of dicks it is!

I'd recommend you check out the server section of the forums. There are plenty of good servers around here, without any bags of dicks (There are also a few servers run by bags of dicks). Do a little research on them and apply to the ones you like. Some of the measures taken (banning mystcraft worlds) is because even mature players can and will abuse stuff. There are plenty of good servers, though you may need to make a few compromises. Welcome to FTB.
